City of Wichita – Kansas WWTP No. 2
Wastewater Piping & Support Engineering
JSC Engineers provided specialized wastewater piping engineering services for the renovation and expansion of the City of Wichita’s Sewage Treatment Plant No. 2, working in close collaboration with industry leader CDM Smith. This large-scale municipal infrastructure project included both upgrades to existing systems and the addition of new treatment capacity.
Our team was responsible for detailed pipe stress analysis and pipe support design across a range of complex piping systems. These included stainless steel air piping, FRP ductwork, and large-diameter ductile iron piping—all critical to the plant’s biological and mechanical treatment processes. Each system was engineered for long-term reliability, code compliance, and thermal flexibility.
